Today I want to show you something a little bit different. Wanderarti focuses a lot on visual art, as you know, but it places heavy emphasis on mediums such as painting, sketching, and illustration, without leaving room for much else. I want to take a look at another creative way of representing places today, so I’ve collected and curated a selection of short videos of amazing destinations around the world. I hope you enjoy something a bit different!
Europe
Barcelona GO! By Rob Whitworth
This short, fast-paced hyperlapse whizzes through the city’s landmarks leaving you feeling exhilarated and, maybe, a little bit sick.

Koh Yao Noi – Thailand
This video shot with an aerial camera explores Koh Yao Noi, one of Thailand’s lesser developed islands. Shots taken from above give you the chance to look at this amazing place in a way you usually wouldn’t get to.

South America
In South America – Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Brazil
This amazingly shot video lets us travel to a dizzying array of destinations in South America, from the ice-filled landscapes in the south, to busy, cosmopolitan cities. A great overview of this diverse continent.

Africa

Antarctica
The Seventh Continent
Antarctica is often forgotten about as a continent, but its snow-covered tundras and vast (cold) open plains means it has the ideal scenery for making an epic film.

North America
North America – Continent of diversity and beauty
This film captures the diverse and spectacular landscapes of North America, as seen by Steve Savage when he drove for 3 weeks across the continent.

So, video is often overlooked as a creative art-form but, as these short films show, it’s a fantastic medium for showing the beauty of places.
